i doubt a lancer evo did almost 190.. that car isnt designed to go that fast... our 66 427 vette started shaking at 135, the Z06 we have now we have had up to 120 with no prob, dont have any ambition on going faster, its funner to get there fast then see how fast u can go:D

i did over 110 allmost 120 once on the parkway in a 1995 chevy astro work van loaded with tools on the parkway the needle allmost hit the steering coloum it was below the plastic. there were 3 of us in a pack a red mustang notchback around 1992 me and a early 90s honda i don't remember if it was an accord or a civic. the mustang was setting the pace and wouldn't let me pass it and the honda was right behind me. we were riding like this for about 9 miles netween exit 114 and 109 going southbound. that was one sacrry thrill!!!

Not exact on that measurement, the gauge stops at 120. The Needle was pointing straight down at the steering column, so it would be close. If you've seen these gauges before then you'll know what I'm talking about.


I've been in a newer camaro that had a 150 shot, but I don't count that because I wasn't actually driving. Don't remember the exact number, but it was pretty dang fast. :D

It's hard to explain for a bike. The first week I had it I hit like 98 and I was shaking from the rush. After a while, I could do 130 and not feel a thing. Its almost surreal accelerating that fast, and that was a 600, not one of the bigger bikes.

I bet a modded Evo could do 180, but you probably have to change the gearing.

sounds like last winter when i rode with a buddy to state dance in his 3/4 ton cummins... he's got it tricked out... should have been about a 5 and a half to 6 hour drive (at least that how long it took everyone else we talked to).... we made it in 3 and a half.... we met people who left 2 hours before us after they had been driving for over 3 hours already and we had only been driving for about 2... i dont think we went under 95 the majority of the way, other than in towns of course... and i know there were a few times when we were up around the 140 range, only got passed by one car and that was a supercharged pontiac on I94 north of the cities... we were doing about 85 he was doing about 90 but our side windows were frosted over so we couldn't see the gaps in traffic as good as he could.... we blew by him about 2 miles down the road

does he have a gearvenders or US gear unit? if not his engine must have been screaming the whole way.

his is stock, so only 245hp. it took a lot of pedal to keep the speed up with only 2000rpm at our disposal. i think we filled from empty with 5 gallons and got a low fuel light when we got to our destination.

so quick math tells me maybe low teens in MPG.

i used to drive a 91 or 92 nissan stanza in high school, and it would top out at 124 when i 1st got it, and then after a year or two of beating on it, it would only go 121-122 ish...

ive gotten 15 passanger vans upto the governor at like 100... it took a while to get there, but that was my goal every time i had to transport them...

i had my bro in laws 5.0 mustang up around 130....

have had several luxury cars up in the 140s... those are actually the best to drive fast in, as they are so smoothe and you dont feel like you are going fast... you can be doing 145 and feel like you are doing 80... es400s, a infiniti j30, is300, etc.. have had several luxury cars up in that range...

the fastest ever though, was in a 2000 vette... i was driving it from our lot to Adesa auto auction, and got it in the 160s... i couldnt tell you exactly where, as i was going pretty fast and coming up on traffic, and was trying to pay more attention to the road and not running into somebody... it only took a couple seconds to get there, and unfortunately i came up on traffic before i could get any faster...

you figure stock they go about 100, add another 10mph with your motion pro throttle cable, another 10 because of the weight savings and aerodynamics of your renthal bars, having shockwears preventing air from circulating inbetween your shocks adds another 4 mph, and then having that RK chain, man, thats the other 25 mph right there...

if you got an aftermarket wheelie sensor you could probably get another 5 mph out of it

They do 0-100 in about 11 seconds and it only climbs slower and slower the faster u go... We have seen test of a 2004 Vette Z06 and once u hit 150 it takes a while to keep climbing up to the 170 top speed.

me driving - who knows, my old '94 chevy truck w/305 sbc in it, the speedo only went to 85 and i had a chip in it so there was no speed limiter so it just kept climbing but before it would shut off probably at 98 like every other chevy

my tahoe has a programmer so it keeps pulling too and the speedo only goes to 100mph

i guess i didnt specify... it only took a few seconds (and i used that term loosly just to emphasize that it got there quick, not literally a few or 3 seconds) to go from my normal highway driving speed of 80 or so, to get up to 160...

In the dodge PU, ive been to right around 120 in the backroads.

In a ride-along at the dragstrip in our old 1980 mustang lx coupe we hit 140 at the quarter mark.

Completely depends on gearing, with the right gearing it could actually do in the 120's, stock gearing, probably 85...

Fastest that I have actually driven is 115 in my 65' Mustang, 109 (i think that's when it shuts off) in my 2000 F150.

Now in the air (like mofo) was in a Harmon Rocket II. I wasn't pilot in command, but was in the rear seat (tandem 2 seat) ahold of the controls. Comin down we had a groundspeed of 245kts! (just under 280mph)

On one wheel 124mph in 3rd gear. Only done that once but with the gearing i have it is tuff to pull up in 3rd

On one wheel 108mph in 2nd gear revlimiter hits. I do this one quite a bit

in a car around 130mph It was a WS6 with a long list of mods.

I'd like to see pics and the time sheet for this Camaro. If that Camaro is set up for the 1/4 mile and is getting those kind of speeds and times it's probably not much of a Camaro anymore.

my modified CBR did 176 and i held it there for maybe 20 seconds until i caught up to traffic...i believe the speedo was slightly off (at most 15) and honestly you dont even realize how fast your going you just tuck yourself in and dont move a muscle. The fastest i have been in a car was 2 days after i got my mustang 5.0 notchback and maybe an hour after getting my first ticket in it. The Camaro next to me said i walked passed him while he was doing 145. My speedo said 190 but it is pretty off due to my 3 73 gear and saleen guages. I believe 150 is about what i was doing.
I honestly dont speed that much but if i do i always do over 135 so i dont have to worry about police catching up. I have done 165 in a 35mph zone down a long country road around here and the little humps in the road actually let my front end float up and i had to let off. This bike got up to this speed in a hurry when speedshifting at 13,000 rpm. I love goin fast im not gonna lie
