I recently tweeked my stock bars during my most recent flip. They are not bad but it gives me an excuse to get an upgrade. I wasn't sure which ones to get. I was thinking Renthal? Would I have to get new mounting hardware? I would imagine new grips?

Also, how do you get the right bars to match your stature. I'm 6'2" but have no idea what style of bars to get. I primarily trail ride if that helps.

Thanks for your time. :)

Only thing youll need with them is some new grips, they will mount right up. I dont think there is any big differences in the
300-400EX so if you got the Renthal 400EX bend you should be just fine.

i have the pro-tapers. They are a bigger bar, so they are way stronger than the renthals, and they don't have the ugly crossbar on them, but u do have to get a clamp kit.

I'm running the same bars you are taking off, on my 400. They are about 1 inch higher and one inch more swept back than the stock 400ex bars. mine are from renthal. four traxx bend.

The pro-taper's have a large pad just over the center of the bars. It covers the mounting brackets and steering stem head.

By the way, I have a set including a fox-honda bar pad for sale.
It includes the mounting kit, and I am asking $75 for them, which is a little less than half of a new set if you factor in shipping or tax. They are in good condition, and don't include grips. PM me if you are interested.
