Yep, that good advise. That is how I did mine. I Spent a little while getting the tape outline even then used a hacksaw blade WITHOUT the hacksaw, and it came out very nice. Then used sandpaper to finish shaping it out. It is bestway I know of.

I used 120 180 grit just to round out any sharp edges then used 220 grit to feather the rest out. Then I used some Amore-all to moisen the plasic back. Ever since then it has not turned that white-ish again:) .
(I tryed to load up a pic of mine but could not get it to work)

Did mine yesterday with a jig saw. Turned out nice! I'm really happy with the results.

Just wondering, why do yall (or any one) cut the fenders? doesn't all the dirt/ mud/ water fly up all over you?

The reason I shaved mine off is because ever since I saw one liked that years ago, I thought it looked "trick" and I really liked it. And still do!

I does splatter some more mud on you then normal, but I really don't like riding in mud wholes anyways. I just like "hauling @$$" on the dirt trails. :p :devil :p

i only did it because there was e melted places in the front fenders from where the previous owner got too close to someones 4 wheeler and the fact that i had just bought new fenders but i like it so well that the new fenders might have to get trimed a little too
