Here's a few pictures that I took over the weekend while out hunting . I just loaded them off the camera , so I thought I'd share .

A couple pictures from mid September when a gang of us went on a " fishing" trip . Turned out to do more riding than fishing ... actually I did no fishing at all . Only fishing I did , was in the cooler looking for more beer . ROUGH weekend !!!!

Ya I usually have to sneak up and take close pictures of her ... she doesn't mind them from far , but doesn't like close-ups !!!! :p

My parents live in a tiny little village that has maybe 30 families that stay around all year .... it's more of a cottage area than anything else .
So when you see me mention that I went up to the cottage , this is basically where I go . I live 2 hours away from their place in a much larger city ... approx 165 000 people . It's my getaway . :devil:
gbcap ...... Yeah the scenery is pretty awesome , and my camera didn't do any justice to how far you could actually see . Plus all the leaves were changing colors , so it was a nice sight . I'll try and get more pictures upload to show you different sights .

You can see a couple other cottages in the background along the shore. There are only 20 cottages/homes on this 5 mile long lake .

TRUST ME .... moose hunting season in this area , you don't walk into the woods without being decked out in Blaze Orange or else you'll find yourself with a slug or a bullet for a 30.06 lodged in you . Orange beanies are the law unless you want to take off your helmet and put an orange hat , which usually means the birds are long gone by then . :ermm:
Pappy ... I have photos of the birds we shot , but they're on film , not on the digital .. plus the films not finished and the scanner ain't working . Brand new scanner and it about good for target practice . :mad: We did get 9 birds over the weekend though . :D
No offense, but those helmets make you look like a dork.

i dont know about you, but i'd rather look like a fool than wreck the quad and get hurt or get shot by some dumbarse who thinks he sees a moose riding a grizzly through the woods:p
dude...consider yourself lucky. i would kill to have a girl that hunted and fished with me. one of my ex's liked to fish, but i've never found one that will go hunting. good find man!

Nice pictures man, i absolutely love it up there, we've got a hunt camp on the key river (parry sound area) and its so peacefull up there. my dads going up there this sunday with the other guys there going to do some moose hunting i think hes going to be using his 300mag and his 30-06, then when he comes back we waite for a couple weeks then we all go up again deer hunting its a blast hangen out with the guys for a week.

I love deer camp. But ours consists of sitting in the garage around a card table slammin beers, smoking ciggerettes, eating spicy stuff, belching, and telling old hunting stories. LOL my friends usually set up a tent inside our garage because they usually cant make it to the house. We drink HARD at deer camp and everyone looks beutifull and is so wide awake the morning after haha. I love everything about shotgun season :D

Maybe so , but have you ever tried hunting with a motocross helmet ?? Try shooting a gun with one , it's impossible .
In case some haven't noticed , it's an orange helmet skin over top of a black helmet . The black helmet doesn't look so bad , I agree , the orange looks a little odd but if I want to hunt using the quad , it's the law . I'd rather look like a dork than pay a fine . :cool:

Trust me , it's happened where people got shot while riding their quads during moose season when not wearing any orange . From far enough away , a quad riding at a slow pace can look like an animal wlaking through the woods . And the mentality of some of the hunters is " What looks brown , Goes down" ... you know shoot and check it out later . Scary!!!:ermm:
Oh and I know I'm pretty lucky . My girlfriend begs me to take her out fishing , hunting and quadding ... I couldn't ask for more !!!!:devil:

Parry Sound you say?? hehe You're still a good ways away from the north bud. ;) It's all good though, I'm sure it beats the city and suburbs. I'll take the quad out for a rip tonight and take pictures of my surroundings... you can't even tell there's a town amongst all the trees when I'm in one of the trails.
