Im getting ready to purchase another bike and I was wondering what all would I have to do to make the LTR ready for extreme trail riding? I climb alot of steep hills, and have alittle bit of everything in my woods. I know bigger back tires is a must, and probably a swingarm skid plate. Will I have to drop a tooth on the front sprocket if I go with 20's on the back? Think it will be to wide? Im looking for the ultimate woods racing machine......

Just use Yokelys set up as an example.

I am not ready to mod it out yet. I am just wondering the "musts" are before I hit the woods.

With 20's on the back I definitely had to drop a tooth on the front. 20's made a HUGE difference in ground clearance also. With the 18's I was constantly getting stuck in the ruts. I really haven't had any problems trail riding with mine as far as width goes.

Is the LTR good with climbing hills?

You have an '06 Raptor, '06 YFZ, you are getting an '07 450R, AND you are going to buy a new LTR? Thats a lot of machines there Charlie.

I would go Raptor for the dunes, set up the YFZ for trail racing, the LTR for the MX track, and the 450R for open desert racing. Jesus man, thats going to be a huge aftermarket parts bill for you!
