im about to get a used quad and the guy that im buying it off of wants to switch over the titles. how much does it cost to do so? what do i need to take when i go?

I just did this in state college Pa and you are going to need Pa drivers license. I don't think you need insurance to transfer the title but you may. I had mine cause i have to have it to ride around here. You are going to have to pay the 6% Pa sales tax on your purchase price when you transfer the title plus the 22$ transfer fee.
I just bought my 05 400EX for 3250 and the fee to transfer the title came out to 260$.

jeez. thats probably why no one gets there titled transfered. all that money to the state or where ever it goes to.

U have to have your wheeler registered to ride in Pa unless its on your own land. You have to have the title in your name to register the atv.

what if you don't have a drivers license?

Dunno, says right on the 4 wheelers that you must be either 16 or 18 to operate. U will have to call your local title place.
