my buddy has a 05 450R that he just put a FMF Titaniam4 14" muffler on with a power bomb head pipe. He has the airbox lid removed and a k&N filter. His elevation is 957ft. I was wondering what jets he should run. It has already been jetted for the K&N w/ the air box lid off. He has ordered an FMF jet kit already but i'm hoping to save him some money. I am not sure but if the 450R carb's are Keihan's then could he use my main jets i have for my 400EX i have a : 155, 160, and a 165 main. Should he even change the jets since it's already jetted for the K&N? thanks for the help

yea if he is putting full exhaust on it he will need to rejet. id say start out around 175 and go from there. its hard to check the plug to get right it will get you round about. then seat of the pants is the way ive done mine by goin up one or down .

i would start with a keihin 180 mainjet. if you are using the stock needle then you may even want to lower the clip one position, at least in the colder months. your stock pilot jet should be fine.

and yes, it is a keihin carb so use keihin jets.
