Has anyone made an HRC like airbox lid about of their stock lid? how did it work? what should i use to cut it?

You can cut your Airbox lid just like the HRC's. I don't remember what I used now...either a dremel, or a drill & bit.

Now I just run with the lid off. MORE air flow :).

I used a dremel. I had to cut my lid on my 06 after I raised the airbox. I riveted a piece of .125 aluminum to the lid and made my own version of an hrc. If you would like pics pm me an email address.
