hey , i just got back from little sahara in Ut, and my new HMF slip on burned holes in 2 pairs of pants, the pipe sticks out from the plastic right above the back of the heel guard. is this normal, does any one have a fix? thanks in advance

normal pants or riding pants? mine burns my normal pants up but not my riding pants. yes its normal. get some header wrap if you want to fix it.

it sticks out because the bend of the pipe is straighter in order to gain a higher flow of the exhaust.

I have burnt holes in both riding pants and regular pants, like said above use header wrap

What we did is take an iron on Denim patch and cut to fit and iron that puppy on there. Been 1 year of riding/racing and no more burns.;)

Call HMF they now have a S.S. gaurd that clamps on like this.
