Guys,
It's time to replace my plastic (still running the ratty stock 87's). I am torn between OEM, Maier, and Fullbore. The question is, do the aftermarket rear fenders have braces that bolt to the frame, or can you still pull the fenders off with no tools?

With the Maiers you use all of the old plastics hangers. Some of it you have to bend a little bit. The rears use that large U shaped piece of metal and pull off just like the stock ones do.

Laker Custom also makes plastics. I think that they look best.
They are also cheaper then Full Bore

If i ad to do in again I would get the fullbores. I just bought some red maier full fenders. The fit is ok but the colors don't match.

I have a set of Laker Customs on my 250R, the fit is good and they look great.

Really it depends on the look you want. Maiers are the closest to stock looking and are cheaper than OEM plastics, and if you want that OEM plastic look in a different color maiers are the way to go. Maires are my personal favorite too, I think they hold up the best. Fullbores IMO are almost just as good as maiers, but have a more racy look. Laker Customs, I just never liked them, especialy how they look.
