do i need to rejet when i......

i recently got a 01 400ex (first quad btw:D ) and in the future i plan on either a big bore or a stroker. but for now i stuck to the basics and got a white bros e series muffler and the white bros power air filter. do i need to rejet? or adjust the discs? anyone have a suggestion?

btw i am carb illiterate (sp). i am used to all my bikes being fuel injected.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks;) ;)

Yes, any change in airflow, in or out, requires jetting.

Or at least a checking of the jetting. It may have been really rich, and the pipe/filter leaned it out to a good jetting.

But, yeah, you'll most likely need to actually rejet

Yes it will need to be jetted. Check your plug.

White = Lean
Tan/Brown = GREAT!:D
Black = Rich
