honestly, besides dunes and drags I cant really use all the power in my 450r. (and its just hrc kit)
but dont get me wrong...............I still want a little more.

Im going to guess that he dosnt have a stock banshee because if he did and he rode with or around any of the new 450's, or big cc raptors he wouldnt be arguing, he would be buying exhaust/filter/porting. to compete with them.

the banshee is the worst quad ever built... its horrible... in fact the only reason it was built for so long was that some really rich guy was the person who designed it and he payed yamaha to keep producing it so he could admire his work of art... and then he died, so they decided that 2006 was the last year since the old man wasnt going to fund them anymore... theyre pretty much the worst quad ever built... and dont tell me its just cuz i had the wheelie sensor on the wrong setting- thats bull crap!!! i had the wheelie sensor right on the money where it should have been

Its not the last year for them, not yet anyways. They just arnt being sold in the US anymore. And they arnt the worst quad ever built, if they were the worst quad ever built, the number of people that have them, wouldnt have them.

Thats funny. HAHA. Well the reason the the banshee has been in production so long is because other than the honda fortrax 300 it is the best selling quad ever. And the reason they are not going to make the banshee any more is because of EPA regualtions. Other than the trailblazer 250, the mini's are the only 2 stroke quads still made. Has anyone noticed in the past few years how many 4 stroke dirt bikes and quads have been replacing 2 strokes. The list goes on and on. AND WHAT THE **** IS A WHEELIE SENSOR?

It takes alot of money to make a banshee good enough for mx and and when modded its fast but only in a streight line. If you had $500 to spend on the motor ofa banshee and a 450 4 stroke the banshee would gain more power than the 450.

Banshees were made for dunes and drags.

Most people will take a low hp 400ex over a banshee cause a 400ex will walk all over a banshee except down the road the banshee will beat it.

Are you a little SLOW????? I don't belive you have ever rode one if you say there tippy, and have bad shocks. There shocks are not that bad for a stocker. Yes I bought a 400ex for woods racing. alot easier to control in the woods. But I still prefer my banshee. If you are a good rider and know how to handle the power of a banshee they can be raced anywere

remember that alot of people that ride now are used to the 4 strokes and dont like to use that lever they call a clutch.....i personally love working the clutch and sliding in and out of turns...and since when has a banshee been tippy? to me the raptors and other quads are way more tippy then the shee....and power you can set any quad up for the power to come on at any RPM level....banshees can be made to be more then just a duners quad....some banshees run fine in MX...and do i even have to say flat track?? :p

Banshee's are the funnest atv to ride. Everyone has a 450. Of course they don;t hold up as well as a 450 on the track, they were made for the dunes. Sure maybe the 4 strokes are as fast as a banshee stock for stock, It took long enough for the fourstokes to catch up almost 20 years. Of course they have no bottom end they have 2 175cc cylinders. I have never rode a 125cc two-stroke dirtbike that had bottom end. The bigger the piston the more bottom end your gonna get.

Banshees are sooo bad *** stock is because nothing is like riding a fat pig with a 2 stroke powerband, I mean is it really that thrilling to push a button, hear some thumping noises, and have power that is softer then a babys ***. Not to mention your racing against 2000000000000 people with the same exact machine. Ya everyone and their brother has a banshee too, but they get to line up to whatever they want.

I personally like running the blue powerband. PInk is the fastest but if you combine and blue powerband and some "NOS" stickers from autozone you gain 2 more HP then the pink powerband alone

i personally like the yellow powerband. the blue one is alright...but i like the throttle response more with the yellow.pink is garbage. DONT EVER BUY A PINK ONE!!! the blue one is alright and the green one is garbage.

no its not a typo i blew the reverse gear out and had to split the case. then had to take it to the shop for a missfire after going threw the carb twice..they said it had a bad spark plug. i have never had a plug go bad on a 4 stroke shocks were leakin all the wheel bearings were wobly. was fun though:blah:

Wow i love it! This whole banshee vs everyone else war is funny. I have ridden pretty much everything out there except polaris(:rolleyes: ) and I'll just put my opinion out there. I've only ridden a banshee about 6-7 times, and none of them were stock motors. One of them had pep shocks, +2 a arms, and +4 axle.. It was by far the FUNNEST quad I have ever ridden. I used to have a 250R and its just not the same as a banshee. 450's are ok, but everyone has them and they just aren't comfortable for me. My Z that i have right now is perfect for the trails and as I race very little its OK for that. I would love to have a banshee to bring to the dunes, or even to trail ride. Yes, with few mods they are slower than 4 strokes, but SERIOUSLY who really leaves their quad alone? I sunk $1500 THE DAY i bought my Z. It goes with who we are and what we do. I want both the ease of riding my Z and the FUN of riding a banshee. Hell with a full suspension on the shee i would probably get rid of the Z lol. Flame if you want i'm a big boy, but please refrain from posting if you're under 16. I don't have patience for stupidity.
