View Full Version : Need help on 250r water pump

I am putting my sidecases back on my R and When it came to the water pump Im not sure how to screw it back on.
I have the 86 set-up. My question is Do I just tighten in down, or what? Im talking about the nut that keeps the impeller on. How much do I tighten it down?
please help!

it says in the manual, i can look for mine, it shows the 86 setup in it, i can tell u as soon as i find it

no, its cool man, i found it, it might not help, tell me if u need some more info on it, il explain it to my best ability...


86-88
install impeller, sealing washer, and cap nut
torque = (0.8 - 1.2kg-m) or 6-9 ft-lb

Did ya replace the mechanical seal.............??
careful not to overtighten the cover bolts ..
how could anyone do this job (right)

help? All i needed was the amount i needed to torque down the nut, and Bean helped me out.

sorry dude, I wasnt trying to be mean. Just had a Rought day today. Yes, Im planning replacing all the seals and the nut also. But I think I have an extra seal that I didnt put in, So Im ordering everything new and from the honda diagram I should have a problem.
