I just got off the phone it is a bracket that for the throttle and they said that you should have it because if you are hard riding it could break but all you 2006-07 450R/ER Owners you should be getting some mail from honda about this

it doesnt matter if you bought it used they will still replace it.. My letter states that there are some 06/07 that need this replaced and their records show my bike might be one of em.

funny thing is , they say its a kit in the letter i just got, i thought it was both throttle arms, but its only the lower one, hence number 13 like stated above, its a $1.25, i rather do it by myself than drag my bike all the way down there and leave it there for one day to have monkey work on it.

Well, I just got off the phone with the local Honda Dealership, they told me to bring it in and they would do it while I waited, Honda is paying for it all.

I am bringing mine in tomorrow!

I would too, but they only have 6 of them and they are doing the 450Rs that they sold first and I did not buy mine there so they are doing me a favor! They said if they did not do it, then I would have to wait for the next shipment of parts. I don't care, I am sure I can buy something while I am there!

last time i took the 450 to the dealership it was to have them put a new gas tank on it because they stripped out the plastic around where the front fender bolts go.... who the hell uses an air wrench when you're tightening something thats held in by plastic? no, i think ill do it myself. honda certified my ***. :grr:

as you can tell, im still a tad bit pissed about this whole sitch with my dealer.

I'll second that!!

This person never has anything intelligent to say anyway, but that comment should get him banned. IMO

I was at one of the local Honda shops yesterday to get a knobby for my buddys bike. I was talkin to the owner listening to him telll me about a red framed 07 with white plastic that they just assembled in his warehouse when he picked up this stack of honda parts bags and he says "what the hell is this" to the other guy behind the counter, he says how am I supposed to know. I told them to look at the gasket right there it is for the throttle on a 450r. He said "I dont think so why would they send me all of these". Then I told them about the thing I got in the mail. While this conversation is taking place all I can think is WTF I thought the red frame was only with black plastic. I really don't know if they have a red frame w/ white plastic or not but I never heard of it.
