Sprocket Question

The stock size is 14/38 and awhile back before I got into racing I had to replace my rear sprocket and they didnt have 38 in stock so I got a 39 tooth sprocket. Which did this help? Low end or Top end?

low end... down 1 in the front equal to 3 up in the rear and 3 down in the rear is like 1 up in the front... 13/36 would equal your 14/39 but deliver the power differently
