I am in the process if setting up a trip to Oregon to visit the dunes. I have heard that there is a sound limit of 93dB. Does anyone know if this is strictly enforced? I have 2 quads, 400ex with a Dr D. slip-on w/quite core insert and a z400 with a Yoshi full w/ quite core. I have never had them mesaured for sound so I have no idea if they will pass or not.

Any suggestions?

i would not worry about it too much. as long as you do not act like an idiot you should be fine. i bet you are under 99db anyways. it is not strictly enforced. i ride a 250r that i know is about 103db and i have never even been tested by an officer. and by the way let me know when your going we go over there a lot, maybe we will see you there.

Thanks for the info. We're looking at early November. Most likely a wednesday to saturday thing, maybe 8th to 11th.

How is the weather there that time of year?

you can be lucky or not lucky. it does rain alot but you may luck out and it wont rain. We have actually had tons of luck every time we go. almost never rains but l;ike the day we get there and the day after we leave. is this your first time to the oregon dunes?
