how can i take the chain off of my 400ex. i need to put my new chain and sprockets on but i dont know how to take the chain off.

Loosen the sprocket and pull the sprocket off and the chain can come off then. Or else you acn just cut it.

there is no masterlink on the stock chain!!!!!

400exs for some reason do not have a masterlink stock.:confused: Honda has good reliability but some of the stuff they do confuses me. Like no grease zerks on the front end.

None of the hondas have a masterlink stock.

A pressed chain is 10x better than a masterlink chain for dependability.

However,
Unless you have a hydraulic press it's not easy to do right. So, we use masterlink chains aftermarket.


Yea, you just cut the stock chain off.
