Im starting a BAJA project bike and am going to purchase a new 450r to start the build up on for the 08 500. I want to start soon, but will thier be any notable differences between the 07's and 08's that would be worth the wait?

I'm willing to bet on fuel injection .. but its hard to say with honda.

thats not that big of a deal to me, I would honestally reather have a carb

i dont think fuel injection is any better than a perfectly tuned carb..

So far is sounds like an 06' or 07' will be it I dont think they would make that many notable changes to desgin or geometry, it will all the aftermarket anyway.

for 08 the crf 450 dirt bike is going to be fuel injected so its a possiblety

im really hoping it will have the same setup like the suzuki..being wide and maybe efi but it wouldnt be that big of a deal..i road a ltz yesterday and just from riding it i can tell it could easily pull my 04

08 crf450 is rumored to be efi. Im praying that the 450r will be efi for 08 as well. Than my 05 450r will be forsale. efi is better than a finely tuned carb any day. NO need to rejet for diff elevations and instant throttle response no matter what. and it is instant. Just ride an ltr450. Carbs are dinosar technology just like 2 strokes...

and with efi comes a whole list of other issue's. it might work a little better but with all the electrical and sensors i don't want it. carb is much more reliable

They will not have O2 senders so they will not self adjust the A/F
