what would cause oil to get into my air box and filter could it be the rings?..............and will a jet kit make my 300 faster?

the rings are going bad, causing blow by. you need a top end rebuild

the jet kit will only make your quad faster if you need a jet kit

i had oil in my air box after i had fliped. it was just from the crank case breather. if u havnt filped u need a top end.

A jet kit will only help If you have a performance intake and exaust system.

Aye what year is your 300ex. The newer models have a "smog box". Basically a small box that the breather tube goes into jsut in front of the air box. It then connects to the air box to recirculate the crankcase air to lower emmissions.

If the quad had been turned upside down at any point in time, you've probably gotten oil to run into that box then into the airbox when you put it up on its haunches or performed a wheelie.

If the oil is blowing back into the airbox throught the carb.... then you have blowby issues.
