My YFZ threw it's chain yesterday and before I realized I hadn't accidentally hit nuetral, the chain doubled up and sucked 6 full links between the front sprocket and swingarm before stalling the motor. The chain was wedged so tight that I had to remove the swingarm pivot bolt to get the chain out. Fortunately nothing broke, just chewed up the chain slider a little. Thought I would share that, anyone else ever have that happen?

hapened to my budie in a race. You can usually get it out by pulling the cluch in and jumping on the lower part of the chain.

Not the most advanced way to do it but I can vouce that this works. I had to do it a few times b4 i finally decided it was time for a new chain. What a PITA.

Mine did it once. All ihad to do was take the sprocket off.
Now my case savor is close to the chain so it cant bunch up like that anymore.

My buddies did the same thing climbing a set of railroad tie stairs and it ticked the corner of the top step. we had to take the swing arm bolt out to get it out.

My warrior did that. Another reason to clean your chain :) Mine was rusty and had cracks in it.

in most cases a rear lower chain guide will prevent this from happening. :)

i've done that a few times back in my quadsport era ... just throw it in reverse and give it some gas ... spins the chain right out of there. i remember throwing it on the trail and trying to get it out for an hour then i'd remember the reverse trick and fix it in a second

Assuming you have reverse.

YFZ's don't have a reverse do they? ;)
