Took out the 300ex out today after jetting hell, but the bike ran real clean, not perfect but damn near close. Anyways, ran it for about a 1/2 hour until my buddys bike broke down, started towing him back and my bike lost all power. It would run, but you could pin the throttle and power output was no better then a little above idle. Any suggestions?

Is it still revving out? You might have cooked your clutch.

No, it wont even rev past above idle. I did some searching and came up with maybe the main jet could have fallen out? Also noticed it would throw out a couple puffs of black smoke. I am clueless, any help is appreciated.

Sounds like your problem in a nut shell. :) I'd wager your main is sitting in the bottom of your bowl.

did you mess with the needle any? Same thing happened to my son's 300 and the plastic clip that held the slide up came off.

i would say the needle or the main jet came out...most likely the needle since you can't get past idle
