stupid ? about motor storage

Hey guys I just tore my bike apart and I emptied the oil and tranny oil. Should I put some fresh oil in both sides while the bike is apart. It will most likely be apart all winter long.

I would put oil in it.

the manual says after 4 months to change the oil thats in the engine after storage, i stored and in the period of a stored 06 450r for antoher 5-6 months and i left the oil in there, took almost all the gas out from the tank and ran the engine with the petocok on off until the engine died, your suppose to bput a lil oil from the spark plug hole but i didnt. its in a garage so i doubt any rust gonna happen in the cylinder.
