how good is the yoshimura trc for an 04? i want a pipe but don't know what to get:confused:

Yoshimura is a good pipe to get, it has a great deep sound and it's pretty loud without being overly annoying.

there are a lot better pipes for the 450r. Every different yoshi i have ever ridden has felt like a turd compared to other pipes i have ridden.

I think it would be best for you to do some internet searching on 450r pipe testing and see what you come up with. One of the site sponsors wppracing has done a lot on your engine and the Yosh pipe was not one of the better performers.

The top full pipes for the R are (not necessarily in any order), Ron Wood, Rossier, DASA and CT.

Other "good" performers include Duncan (good mx pipe), White Bros, FMF, DRD, Sparks, HMF and Yosh.

If you are looking for a certain type of power, whether it be mx, dune, woods, or other, you should tell that to Brian at wpp. He will guide you for a performance/price combo.

Unfortunately, I think there is a lot of internet heresay on topics like this that cloud the issue. People will often post what they think - with no actual dyno testing behind their opinion.

You can also look at race bikes and see what they are running - those guys are paid to win and will use the best stuff they can. Granted they get sponsors, but just because somebody gets a free pipe, if it doesn't work, they won't win and they will eventually not use it...

i have a yosh trc tri oval carbon fiber and love it, great power gains, or i would suggest a big gun loved that too, but i would recommend the yosh to anyone
