I sold my blaster awhile ago, but I miss it and am thinkin about getting another one. My question is, I've been seeing alot of late 80's- early 90's blasters for around 800-900$ mostly they just need a new top end, I can handle rebuilding a top end but is there anything I should watch for in the older blasters?

i would rebuild the topend then just change the things that go bad normally like axle bearings, tie rod ends, bushings stuff like that and i think you should be all set.

probably nothing to look for on an older one than a newer one

Only thing about getting an older one is you're gonna be stuck with drum brakes up front unless you convert it.

This is true but you can get a complete warrior or banshee setup for under $100 off eturd.:D the next time i come across a blown up blaster for cheap i think i may pick it up.i wonder how fast i could make a blaster,hmm...
I actually like the older blasters better than the new basters:D
But yeah you could convert the brakes to a warrior set up and rebuild the top end, and you will have a nice little toy.:macho
