View Full Version : help on mounting beadlocks

well i just got new rear beadlocks for my 400ex and i thought all u did was take the bead lock ring off then put the tire on. well im having some serious troubles getting the tire on the rim. is there any easy way to do this? i got the rims pcd black so im trying not 2 scratch them to bad haha. thanxs for any help steve

I use a piece of 4x4, stand it on end (about 2 foot long)

place a towel over the post, set the beadlock on the towel covered post.


take your tire that has some wd-40 applied to the bead area and slip it over the rim.

once you install the one side, take the rim to the bench, lay down the towel and center the other side of the tire on the open end of the beadlock.

place the beadlock ring in place, start your bolts, and tighten them to 10 ft lbs in a criss cross pattern

make sure the rim is the same size as the tire, I know it sounds stupid but ive seen it too many times

yup rim and tire are same size thanxs 4 the quick replays. out 2 the garage to try this thanxs
