hey i am thinking about getting a 250f but dont no wich one. Honda is my favorite but i have heard that the valves mess up alot in them, "crf250r'". It would be a 2007 model that i am getting. comment me back plzz. if u have pix of crf250r plz post them, thanks.

CRF's are pretty k3wL with the dual pipes.

the 04s have valve problems i dont think the 05-07s do


my brothers friend races his crf250 that dual exhaust is pretty cool but when you get new exhaust it is more money

Well, if you plan on racing get a cr250. Next year most of class's are changing its now.

Classes:

144cc 2 0r 4-stroke
250cc 2 0r 4-stroke
Open 2 0r 4-stroke

Supermini will be:
112cc 2-stroke, 150cc 4-stroke

Basicly the the 250 4's are screwed racing against 250 2's.

The Fair Class Rule has passed the general session at the 2006 AMA Amateur Congress

Here's the breakdown... exact wording may vary


Amateur Classes: Effective January 1, 2007

125cc 2 0r 4-stroke - 113-144cc - As far as I know it does not have to be homoglagated as 125. KTM 144 is legal.
250cc 2 0r 4-stroke
Open 2 0r 4-stroke

CRF150R - legal in Supermini and Schoolboy(big wheel) only.

Supermini will be:
112cc 2-stroke, 150cc 4-stroke

This passed with nearly 100% of the votes and the manufacturers were all for it, except for Honda (of course)

If this rule becomes true, and 250f four strokes race with 250 2 strokes, I bet you like 500 bucks 95% of the people switch to the 2 stroke.

2 strokes make more power, smell better, and cost alot less.

hehe yea listen to this guy. I just went to go and buy coolant for my brothers 85 and he(dealership dude) said that he races 125b on a kx250f and hes making the switch over to the rm 250 pinger.
