really?, i wasn't sure bc its a dirtbike and its lighter, its an 06, how fast do TTR 230's go? how far should i be ahead of him?

he would be closer on the xr. the griz only tops out at like 64mph. the xr would be closer i think cuz it is alot lighter and it prolly revs quite a bit higher.

i smoked a ttr 230 and an xr200 on my 300ex but havent raced them on my 400 if so they wouldnt have a chance.

My buddy had an xr100 and i would completely destroy it from 1st-5th but those bikes actually are pretty quick once they get there. It was only about 3-4mph slower then my 400EX

My son has a 250xr and a ttr 225 ( ya I know spoiled ) I have a 400 ex When mine was stock I could smoke both bikes, and hes 50 lbs lighter. Now mine has 416 kit, K&N filter, vented air box and rejeted. PIPES ON THE WAY. lol

My 400 can beat grizzlys all day? The Xr230 would be faster than the grizzley but the Xr400 would dominate you.

ive raced an XR400 on the old ex and the XR took me. I guess its were there lighter or sumthin i dont know.

they r pretty quick. a fully built yz 125 will do like 80-85, so if u beating them on the to end then i guess ur gong somewhere around there :eek2: that is pretty quick for an xr though

My xr400 will do 85mph. I can blow away yz125's all day.

I've tried racing so many 125's on the 400 and just can't beat them. Haha. I had one rider once who I did beat because it was in real loose sand and he spun and had a ditch 2 inches deep for some amount of distance haha.

When did the 125s get so fast? I toast 250s with my 450r.... I am sure I could beat 125s fairly easily with my EX.

i dunno about that, but y friend raced his kx125 against his bros banshee which was piped, reeds, filter, pistons....the whole thing and all his 125 had was a pipe and filter. he tied him and they were doin about 90mph down the road...so ya, unless a 250(f) cna go that fast, then u will be beat...250 2 stroke will smoke a 125

I don't know about that. I have a RM 250 with a little bit of work and I am not even coming close to 90.

dude i am telling u...they rip...i talked to a kid that has a worked yz 125, and he smoked a ltr 450 that was piped....and he rode next to a car, and the car clocked him a 85, and he still had a little more.....those things r fast.....

arent they talkin 4strokes.. my cr80's pretty fast.. feels faster then my 400ex.. but never raced them.. but I smoke my buddy's xr250's.. both my quad and the bikes are modded and they cant keep up to me.. even if we are already in 3rd gear.. and start a rolling drag race..
