I was planning on a great day of riding tomorrow with my friends, so I go to start up my bike and run it around for a while, get things ready etc..

Its running fine and I decide to open it up for a second or two and all of a sudden, SNAP all power was gone. Didnt lock up, still turned over fine.

I tear her down and my cam chain SNAPPED:eek2:

Lucky enough It didnt tear threw the motor and break anything.

Its an 04 it was prolly getting real loose. I ordered a new one, but does anyone know the easiest way to install the new chain.

With the flywheel and all of that.

Thanks guys

Why do I need a new cam chain tensior assembly? Wont the old one work?

Yeah the old should be fine unless it looks real worn.. Its self adjusting so use your better judgment in this case..

if your chain got so stretched that it snapped there is a reason behind it.. your tensior probally failed causing it to strech over time, same thing happened to mine ;)

thta's a pulley puller you're using...you need a flywheel puller. it threads on to the flywheel and pushes off of the crank shaft end.
