Dirtbike info

Yeah, We are in the market for a dirtbike and this is gonna be our first one. I talked to a good friend of mine and he told me that it is better to get one of thos chinese brand quads, such as this one:

It's $850 plus $200 shipping. My friend said that you should learn on one of these cheapo bikes and then get something better.

I wanted to ask, that bike up there ^^ How fast will it top out? I don't really need top speed but I just wanna know if its enough. How is that bike to jump?

If I were to get a Honda CRF150F it would be $3,100 OTD here... Yes, I know we have crappy prices here. I have been looking at used bikes and I can't find any decent bike under $1,800 and even then the bike is old and either a 125 or 150.

consider the parts availability. I know that alot of them are practically impossible to get parts for, and I dont imagine the quality is half of what a name brand machine will be, but I'm just going on what I've heard. I would personally want a brand name machine, just make sure you can get parts for the darn thing.

its only 4 speed

you will get smoked by kids on 65's

The list can go on but what im saying is it is garbage, most of the guys on here will take your question as a joke, due to how pitiful these machines are. My kawasaki kx 125 wont even top out at that much (I dont think).

I was in your position too 6 months ago. Take your time, and find your self a bike in good used condition.

BTW where are you located I have a 2002 kx 125 thats been completely overhauled for sale.

The person that suggest that bike has been riding bikes ever since he was born and he knows what he is talking about. He had a couple of those bikes and he said he didn't have ANY problems with it except the usual wear of parts.

I found a Kawasaki KX100 97' for $1000. Thats the best in my area (Sacramento, CA)

Those are junk, my friend had one, they fall apart in the 1st week, they are built cheep as hell. Half them are plastic.

i would get a used yz 125. they handle awesome, and the powerbands r really nice. i rode a '96 last wk and the thing ripped. my buddy had a pipe kx125 and tied his bros shee that was piped reeds and pistons. 125s r fast

hey if you really want a bike look in your classifieds. honestly those bikes are less than crap you most deff wont get parts for it you wont go anywhere with it really jap bikes like those are made to get people with no knowledge to buy them and get themselves in trouble. get a used or even new bike check ebay for smaller bikes or like i said classifieds, where im from we have whats called the treasure hunt or you might have the paper shop anywayse good luck finding a bike
