DS650 Carb on a 400ex

Has anyone ever heard of putting a DS650 carb on a 400? I have one and wondered what it would do. I think it is a 42mm mikuni. Any thoughts on this?

i am not for sure if it will work, but i was wanting to try a xr600 carb. i did a test with the stock carb on my 400ex by removing the accelerator pump and it would stall if i gave it full throttle very quickly from idle. i did not try to adjust the carb so it would not stall.

i dont no if the ds650 carb would have enough clearence to fit on the 400ex

Bad idea.... It's a CV carb. A Mikuni BSR, just like the Raptor carbs

It's the first thing a wise DS owner throws in the trash. I've ridden 2 carb'd DS's (one piped and carb'd - one with a piston, cam, pipe and carb) and they rock after that mod.
