12k is not that much, look at how much it takes to build a bike like this, shocks, a-arms, engine work, there where a lot of pro bikes sold at the last national for 12k or more

It would take a lot more than 12k to build that bike, i guarantee it. I'm actually interested in the electric start, at that price I'm guessing it has all the suspension, similar set up? Do you have any pictures of it?

What offset front end does Harold Goodman run? Is it +2 or +2.5 a-arms and then what offset wheels? Thanks

For those people who posted the price is to high, do you have any idea how much it costs to build a pro level quad? I would say not by your comments. Nice quads and worth every penny.

the price does seem a little high. I understand the price it cost to build one but you gotta look at resale value to.. That is harold's backup bike.. Everybody knows the back up ( practice bike ) is ridden 2x as much and more beat up. you can tell by looking at it good. Its a great quad none the less but other pro's are selling there race bikes for 9k and have more parts on them. but still a sweet quad, bump :)

Sorry man. This isnt his back up quad. He has 6 bikes. 2 for racing and the rest parts and what not. His practice bike has a 100% stock motor. So please dont come on my thread and making mis leading judgements.

Still forsale.

Price is now $9500

im not trying to ruin your thread.. all i said was it looks like a practice bike. but i was wrong. And it shouldnt matter who owns the quad, the only thing that the average joe cant buy is the motor.. And from what i seen them motors dont last long... Btw, a honda 450r is 46 inches stock. +2 each side makes it 50 inches. Then you take away 2 inches from going from 3-2 to 4-1 wheels. so it should be 48 inches wide right? confused:confused:

did u notice that $12,000 was not to high because the bike is worth every penny yet nobody bought it and now it is dropped to $9,500 and nobodys bought it yet.

I think it is BS that Sparks will not port an amatures bike the same as a pros i know places that will give u what u pay for

In the pictures the bike is dirty as they have been sitting for a while and he never washed them after a few rides and storage. From what you have seen is a pro motor and also a pro racers 9000-1100 RPM NON stop reving. If you had his full blown race motor and his ability to ride you would possibly encounter a DNF. Harolds Full blown race motors produce around 60hp. This is his mild back up machine that has only a port job. This is not his practice bike. He has his first and original Bone stock practice machine still. By bone stock i mean motor wise besides a pipe. So this does not have all the motor mods like his race motor

We sold 2 bikes for 12 and have these 2 left. So we are doing something right.

I dont think its BS that he takes care of his riders. Look at it this way. His riders are not only pro's . He has several ameture riders that have the same porting as his Pro's. The riders they sponsor travel around the country promoting. The pro's have on average 4 bikes. They know when building these machines to the limit that these motor's need rebuilt frequent . If you went and had a pro motor like any of the pro bikes you would need to rebuild it every 4 moto's litterally. People would think the motors are junk because they have to get rebuilt alot. So Curtis and EVERY engine builder provides the consumer with a average port job depending on your application. About 75% of your power is gained through a port job. Theere are many more ways to get power without porting. Alot of people dont know about this. However look through a drag racing book and a few may jump out in front of you

Porting is over-rated to a certain extent. You gain more power through a cam/piston then you every will with a port job. Its getting it all to work toghter where you get your power.. If somebody offered curtis the right money he would give them the same head as harold. And how radical the porting is has NOTHING to do with how reliable a motor is.. They do stuff like shave the head and it leaves slop in the camp chain. 90% of the times pro's have there motors rebuild just to make sure..

who cares how much it cost, there is no resale on race quads, i had a full laeger 330r, pep zps, everything, over $20,00.00 invested and i sold it for 6,500. the only reason they think they can get 12 grand for this quad is because a pro rode it, big fricken deal if ya ask me, granted it is an awesome quad, but get real.
