What do you guys think, I'm getting bored around the house and computer and I have no friends to chill with. So I was thinking about tearing the 300ex down painting the frame, a arms and swinger black and then getting my old pair of front full fenders use that plastic renew **** and race cut them. Then hook it up with a 250r hood. All and all it would caost about 120 dollars.

Well ummmmmi guess lol as long as you can get it back together what is it a 250 or 300?

if it were me i would take the money it would cost to do that and buy a nice set of tires

I can get it back together for sure. No problems there. Its a 300 by the way. You'd see a kick start on the side if it was a 250.

Why buy new tires? Its only used during the winter. They hook up well also.

i wouldnt paint those aprts i would powder coat them because the paint will only last about a month and it will be all cipped and look like chit.

if u only use it during winter then go buy some 4-snow tires they r the best tire i have ever used in snow. its almost like there is no snow.

Don't have the money. My bros quad's frame paint is holding up well also.

just outta curiousity whats with the thread title?


but back on topic now, i say go for it, the paint may not hold up as long as powder coat but if its primary use is in the winter there wont be as much wear on the paint either. it'd be a fun little project and honestly if i had a old 300 or something sitting around that ran i would probably do something like that to just cause i like to do little projects once in a while.
