Your pilot seems rich...

Also... sometimes the needles get worn and it will run really bad... nothing you can do but replace it...

how do you find out the size of your carb because I am having the same problem and don't know where to start the numbers on mine are S65A2

pilot seems a bit fat to me. may want to drop to a 45 or 48 and set the pilot screw.

set the plug gap to .018-.020. reset the needle to middle position and then do a WOT plug chop on it.

btw what needle are you running?

330BigBoreR,

if ya dont have the proper tool to measure the bore of the carb(mid throat). you can measure the ID of the small end and convert to mm and get an approximation.

it run ****y on the low and mid and kinda clears up on the top
the needle is the stock one that came with the carb
ill pick up some pilot jets today and some fresh plugs and try it out
thanks!!!!

Try 160 main needle in the middle and a 48 pilot anyway that was my jetting with stock carb and similar mods at about 1800 to 2000 above sea level.

Hmm, not sure I can help you then. I'm headed to Kauai in a few weeks, but I'm not planning on visiting the big island.
