I was selling our 97 LT80 to my uncle..... his kids thought they should take out the belt cover and skid plate bolts :| he "told" them to put them back, and didn't look to see if they did.

when he gave the machine back to me, there was 4 belt cover bolts in, and the rear 4 skid bolts.....

I have a buddy that worked for Robby Gordon years ago welding roll cages in his off road shop. He said he can fix it:eek2: I'll give him a shot.

I also found the rollers had flat spotted, so new rollers will be going in.

Jack, do you recommend removing 2 or 3 rollers?

Yes Jack, I'm throwing away those "case breakers" sno hog tires. Maybe the kid next door wants then for his go cart

LOL, sno hogs make a good fire. :D :D
I'm sure they did not help the situation, neither did the lack of bolts, but,,,
I bet if you ask, the kid jumped and landed on one rear wheel. This would be the final nail in the coffin :)

Remove 2 rollers.
I think those cases can be welded.
I put a strap top to bottom along the broke area (3 1/2"), one from side to side across the top of the rear mounts (2 1/4'), then one from that support forward behing the sidecover bolt holes (6")

FYI: I "used" to recommend the GBC Shredder R/A.
I was told yesterday that they are now called GBC Ground Buster R/A.. Those or NANKANG tires have been great. Any soft sided tire works well.
