My bud is getting a brand new 07 YFZ for next years season. When he gets it, which should be soon, should he break it in with the stock pipe? Or can he just jack it up, and put all the aftermarket parts on and break it in with a new filter and pipe?

Thanks....

My only concern would be the effect on jetting an aftermarket exhaust may have.

Given the choice I'd rather break in my new quad with factory rich jetting than performance tuned lean jetting.

Just my $.02

Yeah, I'd break it in stock.

Wouldn't want to bother with attempting to tune it(plug runs) for the pipe before breaking it in...defies the point.

Showroom stock jetting is rarely rich. If anything it's the other way around.

GPracer2500 is right here.. I guess I'd leave stock for break-in then put aftermarket goodies on it!
