looking at getting one and dont know much about it besides specs and what not. anyone have any expeience with one or know anything to look out for? always rode sport quads and need something a little more versatile but dont wanna give up that rush. havent had a chance to throw a leg over one so anything is helpful. thanks

I have never rode one but I seen some ppl riding them. They look pretty fast. I have heard good things about them. With some dual exhaulst they sound AWESOME!!

What exactley do you mean by that rush??? I know a guy with one he has an 800 kit in it with clutche kit and duel exhaust chip etc... , but it was still no match for my wifes yfz with a pipe and cam retarted.

As far as the versatilite, Its perrty much a 2wd prarie with no racks. Any ting a prarie will do in 2wd so will the kfx

i would certainly hope its not a match for a yfz. an all out race bike is not an option for me or a desire for that matter. i just want something a little more sporty than a utility but that i can tow a little trailer behind for farm/ hunting stuff.

Well i was trying to state that even really modded that its not an extreem rush.

Did you consider a prarie or brute force????
I know my brute will out run a piped 400ex with paddles in the sand. It also does wheelies on command and donuts with out a problem eather. It really is a fun bike to ride. Its fast enouff to hang with the kfx and 4 wheel drive too for when things get nasty.

That 800 was not set up right then. I have a Fundy 800 Prairie running 4.8 sec in 300ft. I beat modded YFZs and raptors all the time. Mine is all motor, no nos.

yes but are you running in 4wd when you do it ????
I know my buddies bike runnes alright on top end but off the line he doesnt have much. He either tries to take off with the back tires spinning already and goes no where or in the sand he tries to take off from a dead stop and has to weight so long for it to wind up we are long gone

I always run in 4x4. The fastest Vforce I've seen was 4.7sec in 300ft. Getting the power to the ground is usually the hardest obstacle. Clutching, tire size, and pressure are the three keys to a good launch.

yea thas what i ment its not the kfx was set up wrong, its to heavy to get moveing quickly in the sand just 2wd.
I know the brute picks up about 3 to 4 lengths in the sand just switching to 4wd

Thats a really nice bike you have there by the way.
Do you know of anyone that just makes like higher comp pistons and cames and stuff, anything I can put in my self with out a machine shop

I thought the single exhaust gt more power than the doubles?? I still love the dual exhaust sound
