whats up guys. im gettin to the point where my shocks cant handle some of the jumps im takin. i eas wondering if it is worth spending a LOT of money on some elkas or works or somthing like that or just getting some 450r shocks. oh, by the way im only 14 and im not exactly payin for all of it and my parents dont like spending to much money.

Stock 450r shocks, or 400EX built? Stock 450r shocks screw the bike's geometry up horribly.......

I went with teh 450R shocks ($200) and then sent them to GT Thunder to get them re-valved, re-sprung, and set up to run on the 400 EX (another $400)

So for about $600, I should have something comparable to Elkas.

I'll let ya know once I get them.

the best beat his to go with a shock desinged for a 400EX it will in most cases cost less then a rebuilt 450R shock and thei will performe better go get a set of Elkas,PEP or Custom Axis Shock you cant go wrong with these !!

Uhmmmm.... Elkas and Custom Axis run more than a grand. PEP about $800.

GT THunder set up the 450R's for my EX - total cost $600.
