I am replacing my axle bearings and have no idea where to get new bearings. I have an aftermarket axle carrier and it was on there when I bought it so I have no idea what brand it is. I think its durablue just cause everything else back there is durablue. I took the old bearings out and they are tapered roller bearings. Does anybody know where to get these, or have a part number...thanks
This is for a 250r

are your existing bearings still intact? if so, then i would carry them to your local bearing supply and have them match you up a set. will be much cheaper and more than likely be a better quality bearing aswell.

Are you sure you need to replace them? I have had durablue tapered bearings for a few years and the beauty of that design is with normal use they are practically indestructable. You lose some chain adjustability, but you gain strength. Unless they were over tigtened and ran or the grease failed somehow, they're probably going to last longer than the quad.

yeah, Im sure the axle was pretty loose. I have already taken the bearings out and they are shoot...the inside race of the bearings is about to fall out....

a bearing supply should have them. i get them for counter balancers ect ect all the time. the seals however are the same as OEM and ya may have to get from a cycle supply or dealer.

thanks Matt. I called Nac's and they did not have any bearings in stock and they only had 2 seals left, that sounds like the right bearings though.

I went to O'Reily's today and thier book didnt even list the part number on the bearing, neither did Advance auto parts. I did find the numbers on the old bearings though its X23008X Timkin bearings. Its hard to see but I think those were the numbers on them....I guess my search will be on again tomorrow. Does anybody know of any places in the Kansas City area that would have these bearings, maybe a place that specializes in bearings...thanks for the help guys

The tapered bearing # is 32008 and you can get them from napa auto parts, I usually get them for around 19$ a peice. I haven't been able to find the seals yet, but if the above information is correct about the stockers being the same , then go with them.
RAD has the cheapest kit for 60.00, you can also get them from RPM but they want 90.00 for theirs.

The seal should have a number on it, that number will be the measurements of the seal as well.

you need to get out the phone book and look for bearing suppliers. as big as kansas city is there should be plenty. as for the seals, i havent had much luck with the bearing suppliers matching them up. rather odd ball as far as theyre concerned. soo i juss go with the oem's

OEM seals will not work with the tapered carriers. The outside diameter is to small.

Just curious, how much did you pay for them in KC? The seal #/ size is 52 68 8. I've looked on a few bearing and seal sites but can't find them... if anyone has any luck finding them, post up a link.
