On a 04 with the aftermarket Goki electric starter can you put the trail tech stock location lights with 35 watts and have the engine work like normal. From rocky mountain they say the lights put out the same amount of power as stock. Some people say that the engine wouldn't work right. What should I do?

I'd look into the HID set up, less wattage used but more output light. If the stock stator can handle 100 watts of light or so, then it seems with the added battery there shouldn't be a problem. The battery is just for starting anyway right? :ermm:

yea the battery is just for starting but the power that doesn't go to the the lights goes to charging the battery i'm only going to use the lights every now and then.

They will work fine. You can run a pair of 50 watt lights and will be ok if you are halfway careful.

Leaving your lights on while the motor is off will be a problem.

Running your cooling fan, all you lights, brake lights and sitting with the motor at idle will be a problem.

Just be minful that power is generated with some RPM and you will be fine

You can run a pair of 50's and have power to spare.

Honda must have all along planned the e-start as the stator outputs more than any kicker ever made (that I know of).

I run the trail techs (35wattx2) with no issues.. If you go over 100 like try to run stock and techs at the same time there might be issues. So I did not even try but unless you need dune buggy brightness the 35 techs or the hd's ( if you got the dollars ) will make you happy. I love my 35 watt ones!!!
