You'll love it. IMHO its the best "all around" cam for any year 450R.

Cam usually won't affect the jetting.

Man yea its great. I got a 05 and I did it by myself. I took it slow and bought all the necessary tool. Took me a couple hours off and on. Was really simple if you have any mechanical ability. I just would read abit then work some. This guys got great instructions.

Hitting the rev limiter quick with the 13tooth front you guys think I need to go back to the 14. And I got a slight bog when I hit it hard. I got a 170dj main 2 1/2 turns 3rd clip on the needle stock pilot no lid yoshi full and k&n. Also had a little pop when I let out of it but went away after a moment.

is the stage 2 alot better than the hrc cam ? (06)
you guys think it would be worth it to change?
I dont race track but like to win drag races and fly when I can.

Personally dont know about the difference. So far it seems to pull hard in the medium rpms. I love it.

The hrc is a better drag cam

From 0-8500rpm the HCS2 out performs the 04/05 HRC Cam.

Now, on the 06/07 machines, the HRC Cam isn't a "top-end bias" cam like in the 04/05 machines. I do believe the HCS2 makes a little bit better numbers than the 06/07 HRC Cam in the 06/07 machines...but I don't believe its a significant difference.

I do not own a 2006 or 2007 machine, so I don't know for sure. I do, however, remember reading somewhere that the HCS2 outperformed the 06/07 HRC by a small margin.

thankx I was hoping the difference wasnt enough to justify a cam change.

I dont think it would be worth it, maybe look at spending money elsewhere how about a piston.

depending on what your looking for different cams will result in different power. the hc2 will give u a more low end, alot more mid, a lil more top, the hc3 on the other hand will give u a good top end and a lil mid but the hc3 is focused more on modified motors, and it will seem u lose a lil low end. as for the hrc cam, it usaully is tested with the hrc kit completely and seems like you lose a lil low end which in feeling is true and gain mid to top, which gives alot of people the impression including me that its a top end type cam. but on other hand on dyno's the hrc cam shows a more low to mid range gain than the feeling of mid to top. just my 0.2 cents im my opinion the hc2 and hrc cam are great cams to go with.
