I'm pretty new to the world of carbs, although I'm a wrench of sorts (fuel injected cars/ vehicles). Since buying a 300ex, I'm interested in learning about the carbs and adjustments/rejetting etc. Is there good documents by other riders to read/view to familierize myself with the workings of the carb and rejetting procedures?
Also, my 00 300 (just bought as is) has a DG pipe and K&N filter. Previous owner (who was the 2nd) didn't know whether or not the carb had been rejetted. Bike has a fairly pronounced hesitation when throttle is snapped to near full - oftentimes coughing first then revvs up fine. This sounds like a carb issue to me - any advise? Thanks!
