need help, 05 400ex....problem with UM racing nerf bars

hey, I recently bought a set of UM racing pro peg nerf bars and im having some trouble getting them on and was checkin to see if anyone else on here has successfully got these suckers on their quad without any problems? I have an 05 400ex. I have them on for the most part and am at the last part of the directions where there is supposed to be a hole drilled through the peg (i think) and im completely stuck and need some help so any advice or help would be greatly appreciated so i can get back to ridin!!

Tap them into place with a hammer then dril the holes. put bolts in and tighten. Went through the same thing with ProArmors.
