Does anyone know anything about model year changes? I'm about to bid on a 2001 shop manual for my 300 EX. My EX is a 2000 model - anybody know if that will be okay for my quad?
What about a 98 manual? Thanks in advance for any info!

300ex was unchanged since 93 other than color changes in the plastics.

So, what model year were changes made? 93-??? are the same? Will the 01 manuals be the same for my 00? thanks!
an 01 manual will work for you 00.
from 1987 to 1992(no 1989 model), the 300ex was known as 250. it was a kick start, so no electric start and it had less displacement. in 1993, it got some color changes, added a few cc's and e-start. from 1993 until 2006, there were absolutely no changes besides color and graphics. the 2007 model has a few minor changes with the biggest being new 450r styling plastics.
essentially, they are unchanged since their first year -20 years...says something about the bike don't ya think...
