A few questions about my engine.

im in the process of rebuilding my engine and i was looking at a "+6 degree key" and was wondering if they were worth my 15 bucks, i heard they make your engine run hotter but How much hotter? i am also doing a 406 and i was wondering if i would be safe to run pump gas on a 11:1 piston. one more question are the hot rod cranks any good?

94 will be okay with a 11:1. Not shure about the degree key I used a high rev ignition .

Yeah it will run a little hotter, not sure of the exact temperature. But if your gonna put in an aftermarket piston with the key im almost positive you wont be able to run 93 octane. You can try it but if you start getting detonation problems then you'll have to mix your 93 with a higher octane.

i run the degree key an it dosent run that much hotter u can barley notice it. there made for stock bore engions tho. so i wouldnt run it

just dont run the key and you will be all set. get a rev box instead. i have a brand new dynatek if your interestead

yup i had 1 an sold it cuz there junk. its a brandnew never put on a quad dynatek nonprogramable rev box sells for 94.99 what i paid ill sell it for 80 shipped. i ordered it the same time as my key but found out you cant run both of them soo ive had it for 2 weeks thats it
