the 400f is a pretty reliable engine.
pretty strong and nice torq.
it was made before yamaha went to the 426 and to the 450
the only problem seems to be the wear of the engine because of the short stroke and there for the higher rpm.
and the gearbox isnt that great it intents to break down.

so would it make a good TT bike?

hybrids are mainly good mx bikes. if u do do a hybrid 4 tt id get a yzf450 motor so u dont have to bore it down the road
