fan question

Im curious how often my fan should turn on on my 06 450r. I ride fir hours straight, pretty hard riding and it still doesnt turn on.. not once has it and im starting to wonder if its broken? lol or if the engine just does that good of a job cooling itself..

Let it sit and idle for a while it should kick the fan on.

from what ive seen the 06 fan doesnt come as much as the 04/05's. i have an 06 and when i got it last fall i never saw the fan come on either. but as the summer came and i rode for a while id look down and see it running. i guess the 06 just runs cooler then the 04/05.

It's not broken. It runs alot cooler than other R's. I too have been watching mine and it finaly came on after running it as hard as I ever have on a super hot day. It will come on when needed. Your same question has come up a lot with us 06 owners and it always turns out that they are working right.

yea I was just about a couple weeks ago ask the same ? but I guess it is cooler like you said
