I didn't think they need to re-do the 6.0:confused: I thought it was good enough.

Has anyone relized that ford changes things that are going good for them. Like they changed the model of the f:150 and personally at first i thought the old look of the 150 was better than the new model. but now i think the new model of the 150 is starting to grow on me. but maybe the 2008 super suty will grow on everyone. Plus its only headlights, its not like they changed the whole body style.

I wonder if the new 6.4 is going to be as sorry as the 6.0. Ford has deffinetely had a hard time with the 6.0 Maybe thats why talk of ford and gm joining is arising. Its gonna break the bank. The only thing i can credit ford with is that they can structurally make a pretty tough truck.

The 6.0's are garbage. I doubt that the 6.3 will be much better. You can't beat the old 7.3:macho

ive already seen it...but for those who think this will be a repeat of the 6.0 i think you're truly mistaken. they learned their mistake and I think they really thought this engine through. but take a look at the capacities of the F-450. that thing owns ANY pickup on the road. the styling of the lights on the new superduty has yet to grow on me. I personally love the look of the Tonka except for the doors and stuff. The headlight styling is beautiful on the tonka.

should be pretty neat. i hope ford did not hike the prices any higher this year cause in my opinion they build the best truck, but their prices are disgustingly high.

Yea, I don't think this 6.4 is gonna be a flop.... I like the new superduty... its a mean looking truck. If anyone find pricing on them post it up......

Also ford and GM will never join.....It'd be really stupid to be honest........ if they did, id start buying dodges

yea your right, if they did it would look like a chevy, but it would be a unreliable chevy or look like a ford and acutally be reliable.

whats wrong with the 6.0's? it's usually the guys that put the chips in them without an exhaust temp gauge and overheat the things. or the chips add too much horsepower for the tranny to handle. Don't you think if you could get another 100 H.P. with a chip and still have reliability the factories would do it?

You would be surprised what car manufactureres will do. Who ever thought that mercedes benz would help chrysler out. Chrysler was just about dead until mercedes jumped in and saved their a**. Car manufacturers will do anything to keep their doors open and i personally think that gm and ford are in trouble. Anyway that what the news says. All the manufactureres are in bed together and everyone knows it. I will wait until the new 6.4 are on the road for a while. you can say how great they are but the true test will be if they can handle 100000 miles unlike the 6.0. You can state facts but they obviously didnt care too much about the 6.0 because that pos deffinetely hurt ford. They are changing the motor for a reason. I love the look of the new fords and the current fords. I think they look the best out of all of them. I drive a dodge new body style and it is the ugliest truck i have seen. Im not too proud to say that. Only reason i drive it is because of the cummins. Their is a reason dodge still has cummins - It just works.

As far as i've read, Ford & GM sat down in Jan. & Feb. of this year to talk about the hybards to put the Japs back in there place. It was only a passing thought between the two. As of April there has been no new talks.

God dammit, let's put those jap manufacturers back in their place. The japs surging ahead will only make Ford & GM build better vehicles. I think personally GM & Ford need to do what Dodge did. Drop your effin prices and get sales back up. Dodge is on fire now, it's crazy!

When the big 3 will finally revamp their crazy "union" agreements, then they will compete with the other automakers - in regards to profits and quality. When your paying a guy $30 + an hour to do nothing because his job was replaced by automation, yet the unions are making them keep their jobs, its hard to drop your prices.

Ford has barley recovered from one of there biggest screw ups in the history of Ford "THE 6.0". I wouldnt hold my breath that because they couldnt get a 6.0 single turbo to work that they are going to fiquire out a 6.4 twin. Come on?? I hope they do, because I was impressed with the news of the 6.0. But what a flop. Maybe this new one will work?? But I sure wouldnt want to be the first year owner.
Dodge kept the cummins because it did work. But they were to stupid to admit they couldnt biuld a tranny. And that hurt Dodge threw the years.
Chevy was atleast smart enough to say: well we cant build a diesel and we sure cant build a tranny. So wham! the duramax / allison was born. And it sure changed the whole world of modern day diesel pickup trucks. Now its try to compare!!
All I know is keep it up, because all three (gm, ford ,cummins) produce unbelievable power. For all those who do not own a new diesel truck (any three) that is chiped and "warmed up in any way" you are seriously missing some fun.

Ford won't go under, there just scaling back. the 6.4 and 6.0 are the same block....... just punched out..... the 6.0 doesn't meet spec so they redid it.... plain and simple, nothing is the same on the 6.0 and the 6.4 but the block..

And ford owns lincoln thats why there similar....... the linicoln pickups are the F-150 just nicer......

my dad has a 2000 f-350 that we got from CMT. he is thinkin about puttin a TS box in it. my best friend just got a 2000 and put an 05 front end on it, it looks AWESOME. has a superchip and an edge box on it with some other stuff. from what I have heard PPE makes the best programmer for a duramax.
