DG Baja Skidplate on a 2002 300EX

I just got a DG Baja Skidplate for my 300EX. but even though it's the same length as the crappy stock skid plate I have a problem. It doesn't cover enough area.......the back portion of my swingarm is exposed. So if I rolled off a rock or backed over a rock it would cause some serious Van-damage to my chain or sprocket. I don't understand why it's like this. The DG skid plate cost me $85 and it's suppose to be a GOOD product. Any thoughts????

ps...there is minimal skid plate adjustment where the bolts go. I tried that.

Its JUNK.
I have their skids (sitting in my shed) because i couldn't handle the vibration they made.
