Is that if I disassemble it? I'm planning on getting it rebuilt soon, since it needs it, but I'm not completely sure on taking it apart, putting it back together....

I assume I should get it PC'ed before I get it rebuilt, correct?

That price is for the spring only.

thats the only way im accepting them at this time, and you can have it rebuilt before its coated

Will do. I'll send the disassembled spring sometime within the next few weeks...I'm still deciding on a color.

Got a color close to the red on the left??

These are going to Laz within the next two days, and as you can see they need some color added.

Which would be easier for you, to send it to you like this, and have you take off the spring, powdercoat it, then send it to laz for a rebuild??

How much would it cost for that?

BTW, I cleaned up the shocks alot since this pic:

Sending it out to Laz this weekend, so you should have it next week sometime. I'm pretty sure I'll pay you with paypal, but I'll let you know for sure..

I'm guessing the color I'm looking for is the same red as on Cody's Front Shocks:

Update from Laz: He has it tore apart right now, but he is heading off to a race this weekend, so he won't get back to it until Mon. I'm guessing they will be at your hands mid-next week.

Quick Question Pappy, I'm new to setting up suspension.

The shock is really stiff right now, by setting "Ride Height" do you mean turn this?? I noticed you had it screwed down furthur then when I sent it to laz, so I assume that's whats wrong.

I figured I'd run it by you though..

I don't mean to interupt, but yeah that is what you move to adjust the ride height. You move it up for a lower height, and move it down for a high ride height.

Pappy

Correct, that is the pre load adjusting ring. I just installed the spring and snugged it so the spring wasnt loose during shipment

Alright. Thanks. So, I assume by turning it up a little the shock will get softer, correct?

Pappy

Yes, it should, but I am not familiar with how the shock worked prior to sending it out.

Roughly, when you press down on the grab bar, it should move smoothly to a point where you meet the bottom of its travel and spring back like an old caddy with worn monroe shocks...lol
