Jerry your not really asking that question are you?..You know the scoop...some people say the ball joints break..well they are the exact same kind as alot of mfg's were using. I run them and have for the past 2 years, they now offer a HD version arm and joint combo.:D

Replace them with Lonestar ball joints. They are going to wear out eventually.

how long should ball joints last in general

Depends on how much and how hard you ride, and the environment that you ride in. I had to replace the tie rod end ball joints on my kfx after a year almost. My wifes Lakota needed them all replaced about 2 yrs ago but, we ride trails alot and sometimes even when it is piss pooring raining. I imagine that water getting in them is the worst. Sand probably isnt the best for them either. :ermm:

I have the burgards with the heavy duty ball joint deals I think they are call "frap style ball joints". You can buy your arms through Pappy. I can't really remember how long I have had them but so far they have over 5 Mx races and countless practices on them.

I agree with pismo. Go through Pappy to get the a arms. What ever you do don't order them directly from burgard...his customer service isn't the greatest. If you can swing it go for the newer heavy duty balljoints though. From what I'm told it's well worth the extra money. The standard arms aren't bad either. Some say the balljoints break easily but personally I'd rather have a broken balljoint than a bent a arm or frame

Yep, wack a tree, ripped off both ball joints, bent the frame and guess what? The arms were fine so there ya go.

I ordered my Burgards from C&D. They were great to deal with and it seemed like they were the cheapest place at the time.

I have had my Burgards for over 2 years now with no problems at at all, they are super strong. I think the people that are breaking balljoints dont have them adjusted properly.
